| Oscietra Caviar comes from the Oscietra Sturgeon (Acipenser Gueldenstaedtii) which can weigh up to 20 kilos. This Sturgeon can grow to be 2 metres long and can live for up to 60 years, producing 5 kilos of Caviar. The Oscietra Sturgeon produces eggs from the age of twelve and the eggs are about 2 to 3mm diameter, with a colour, varying from a rich golden sheen to very dark tobacco brown. The Oscietra Caviar has a creamy flavour with a mellow nutty after taste. |
