The main producing areas for white truffles are the Italian regions of Piedmont, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna and Marche. They are most often found near oak, hazel, poplar and lime trees.
 
Similar to the famous White Winter Truffle, but at a fraction of the cost, these truffles are revered across Italy.

The flesh is pale cream, or brown with white marbling. White truffles are served raw, thinly sliced using a truffle slicer.
