Those of you who have been paying close attention over the last few months will know that we had been having a little trouble sourcing Beluga. We cleared all the available stocks of our hybrid Royal Beluga and then filled the gap with a pure Huso Huso at a ridiculous price.

We now have more of the Huso Huso and we have managed to get our hands on some more of the hybrid following the autumn harvest. This pure Huso has larger eggs, which tend to be a lighter grey. The taste is more cream and walnuts, as one would expect from a pure Huso Huso.

The eggs are light grey and 3-3.5mm in diameter. What does it taste like? Beluga!

Please note that all caviar products should be refrigerated upon receipt. Once opened, consume within 48 hours.

Pure Beluga (Huso Huso) is not widely farmed as it takes 18-20 years to mature. Even after all that time, there is no guarantee that the fish will produce really good caviar. We have seen many poor quality examples but were thrilled to be able to source this example.

What is Borax?

Borax, also known as Sodium borate, is a form of salt that is traditionally used in caviar production. It helps in the preservation process, improves consistency and also enhances the flavour.

Delivery Details

We offer a range of delivery options, which are listed on the order page. All GB caviar orders are sent out on a "next day" basis on a fully trackable service. We deliver every day excluding Sundays, Mondays and Bank Holidays. We need your order by 1.00pm if we are to deliver the following day. Your order will be packed with ice and delivered in thermo-dynamic packaging to ensure that it arrives with you in perfect condition.

Our system allows you to select your required delivery day, up to two months in advance.

We dispatch using DPD for deliveries in UK. They do leave orders but it is best if there is somebody home at the time of delivery. On dispatch, you will receive confirmation, along with the DPD tracking number. On the day of delivery, you should receive a notification of a 1 hour delivery time slot.

For specialist delivery options, such as same day delivery, a specific time or place, please phone the office.

EU Deliveries

We can now offer a limited range of caviar for delivery within the EU: Royal Beluga 125g & 250g, Royal Oscietra 125g & 250g, Oscietra 125g & 250g.

Please note that if your basket contains any other items, you will not be offered the EU delivery option.

However hard we try, things can go wrong with a delivery. This will result from things beyond our control, such as van breakdowns, severe weather or road closures. In the event of non arrival, please contact the Home Deliveries team on 01453 845200 as soon as possible. We will do whatever we can to get your parcel delivered, but our success will rely on an early warning. Having been doing this for over 20 years, we do know how best to work the systems.

Our credit/debit card payment system, including security, is provided by Barclaycard ePDQ, one of the world's largest providers of such services. We do not hold any customer credit card details.
