We introduced the House Selection label over 10 years ago. The idea being that we seek out caviar of exceptional price/quality whatever it may be. If we find one better than what we have, we upgrade, which we have done several times now.

We are very fortunate to be able to source our current House selection from the oldest outdoor farm in Italy, which had its first production in 1997. The flow-through farm is in northern Italy but it is not the same farm that produces our Oscietra and Royal Beluga. The caviar is from pure Siberian (Baerii) sturgeon and it is really very good indeed. Plenty of people agree with me and it is now our best seller.

The eggs are similar in size to Oscietra, but are rather darker in colour, some verging towards black. This caviar has very good egg definition and a tremendous front-of-mouth flavour so is ideally suited to canapes but is also well suited to being enjoyed at leisure. Best of all, at this price, you can have lots of it!
 
It may be tempting to lament the decline of wild caviar, but instead lets celebrate the rise of sturgeon farming and the improvement in skills and farming techniques. Without such an improvement, it simply would not be possible to offer you caviar of this quality at such a remarkable price. Since we introduced this concept, it is clear that the general quality of farmed caviar has improved and we have now made several upgrades to our House Selection.

What is Borax?
Borax, also known as Sodium borate, is a form of salt that is traditionally used in caviar production. It helps in the preservation process, improves consistency and also enhances the flavour.

Delivery Details
We offer a range of delivery options, which are listed on the order page. All GB caviar orders are sent out on a "next day" basis on a fully trackable service. We deliver every day excluding Sundays, Mondays and Bank Holidays. We need your order by 1.00pm if we are to deliver the following day. Your order will be packed with ice and delivered in thermo-dynamic packaging to ensure that it arrives with you in perfect condition.
 
Our system allows you to select your required delivery day, up to two months in advance.
 
We dispatch using DPD for deliveries in UK. They do leave orders but it is best if there is somebody home at the time of delivery. On dispatch, you will receive confirmation, along with the DPD tracking number. On the day of delivery, you should receive a notification of a 1 hour delivery time slot.
 
For specialist delivery options, such as same day delivery, a specific time or place, please phone the office.
 
EU Deliveries
We can now offer a limited range of caviar for delivery within the EU: Royal Beluga 125g & 250g, Royal Oscietra 125g & 250g, Oscietra 125g & 250g.
Please note that if your basket contains any other items, you will not be offered the EU delivery option.
 
However hard we try, things can go wrong with a delivery. This will result from things beyond our control, such as van breakdowns, severe weather or road closures. In the event of non arrival, please contact the Home Deliveries team on 01453 845200 as soon as possible. We will do whatever we can to get your parcel delivered, but our success will rely on an early warning. Having been doing this for over 20 years, we do know how best to work the systems.

Our credit/debit card payment system, including security, is provided by Barclaycard ePDQ, one of the world's largest providers of such services. We do not hold any customer credit card details.
