Gorgeous Cornish hake with Rosemary, garlic and capers preserved in extra virgin olive oil. Hand made in small batches and lovingly tinned in Dorset.
This succulent Hake is preserved with the Mediterranean flavours of rosemary, capers and garlic, in extra virgin olive oil. This holy trinity of ingredients infuses the quality extra virgin olive oil that perfectly compliments this prized British fish. We highly recommend you try this unique can with some crusty bread to mop up all the delicious oil, or try it as a warm salad with green vegetables, such as sprouting broccoli and perhaps an egg. This should be a larder staple as it can be used for all sorts of quick and delicious suppers.
Here in the UK, we tend to associate tinned fish with sardines and cat food. Our continental cousins know rather better and have long appreciated quality tinned fish and know it as "Conservas". Brands such as Ortez have turned the tide in the UK and when I read of a new "craft cannery" in Dorset, I had to give it a go as it is just the sort of initiative that we like to support. The Dorset Conservas are really very good and can be put to all sorts of uses.
The craft cannery works with fish, molluscs, nuts and milk. This product therefore may contain traces of molluscs, nuts and milk. For allergens see ingredients in bold.
