FOIE GRAS AND BIRD FLU

Top tip for our feathered friends: if you are a duck, dont sneeze!

You may have read that there has been an outbreak of Bird Flu in southern France. The control measures have meant that a significant number of duck and geese farms have had their stock slaughtered. Some people have had panic attacks as they think that Foie Gras may no longer be available this year.

This is not exactly true and, luckily, the area of France from whence our Foie Gras comes is not affected. What it does mean is that there will be less Foie Gras on the market, so prices will soon rise. We are told to expect an increase of 15-20% in the next few weeks. Best stock up now! To help the situation, we have got some Block de Foie Gras in and it will be on the website very soon.
