10% OFF OSCIETRA AND THE RETURN OF THE BARD
10% OFF OSCIETRA
Looking at my records, I see that it really is some time since I let you have some of our excellent Oscietra at a discount, so time I did. This is the “Little Brother” of our Royal Oscietra, which many of you enjoyed last month. It has the same great flavour, but slightly smaller eggs. It looks great, with tobacco brown variations through out and it is a big favourite here in the office. The offer will run until the end of the month.
THE BARD OF GRINDSTONE RETURNS FOR THE EU REFERENDUM.
I know that the below has nothing to do with caviar, but I also know that some of you enjoy the outpourings of the Bard of Grindstone, so I thought I would share it with you all the same. Recently, the Bard attended a Fishing Club dinner, where he had to tell a fishy story. His response was to update the tale of Jonah, which I hope will bring a little light relief to your day.
Jonah was a very unfortunate chap
After the Empire, just taking a nap
When along came a fish, huge on the fin
Opened its mouth and sucked him all in.
Now Jonah lay between the sea so blue
And the digestive juices with a greenish hue
No one would listen to him scream and shout
Should he stay in or should he get out?
If he got out, he knew he might sink
At least he would be free from that dreadful stink
If he stayed in, he would be left to his fate
Rotting in comfort with all that the fish ate.
If he got out, his house price would crash
The pound would fall, and workers he’d slash
Across the continent, he would struggle to trade
Restrictions on travel would surely be made
His family would die in a terrorist act
The French would shaft him, that is a fact
A plague of locusts and the black death be
If he survives, it will be World War Three
The sky would fall in and the sea would rise
No, no, no getting out would not be wise.
If he stayed in, his fate would be sealed
Treaties of Europe cannot be repealed
No school places or beds for his babies
Uncontrolled migration is taking him to Hades
And Angela’s army of refugees
On its way here to bring him to his knees
His business is strangled by EU red tape
FromĀ the debts of others he cannot escape
His family would die in a terrorist act
The Germans would shaft him, that is a fact
Costs billions of pounds for ever and ever
No, no, no staying in would not be clever.
Should he stay in or should he get out
Difficult choice there is no doubt
Which ever side that you best abide
At long last you get to help Jonah decide
Whatever results to be your wishing
on the 24th June, I’m going fishing.
Have a good Bank Holiday.
Yours
